CURRENTLY EXHIBITING

Jax

Gallery 1

Most of you will know Jax as the greengrocer lady on the High Street.
She has always had a passion for art and studied graphics and technical illustration at college.  Then life got in the way, she got a job in IT, had a family etc.. A few years ago she started painting again and she exhibited here in the Arts Lounge and in several art galleries in Weymouth and Porlock. She then decided that she no longer enjoyed her careers as an IT professional and decided to open a greengrocers here in Burnham.  Since starting this adventure she had not picked up a paint brush until recently when The Arts Lounge contacted her to make new work for this exhibition.

Much of her work is produced by using ink on a wet surface, using a number of techniques which she has developed over 25 years.
